PRISTINA (Kosovo), December 29 (SeeNews) – The combined net profit of Kosovo's banks rose to 82 million euro ($97.8 million) at the end of November, from 70.9 million euro a year earlier, central bank data showed on Friday.
The banking sector's outstanding loan portfolio expanded 11.2% year-on-year to 2.46 billion euro in the January-November period, according to figures published on the central bank's website.
Deposits in Kosovo's banks increased by 8.2% on the year to 3 billion euro at end-November.
Kosovo banking system's total assets grew to 3.78 billion euro at end-November from 3.5 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) increased to 2.7% at the end of November, from 2.4% a year earlier. Return on equity also improved, rising to 22.1% from 20.2% at the end of November 2016.
The figures comprise the financial results of 10 Kosovo banks. The largest by assets among them are Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank.
