PRISTINA (Kosovo), June 3 (SeeNews) – The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector rose to 25.9 million euro ($28.9 million) in the first four months of 2019, from 23.2 million euro in the like period of last year, Kosovo's central bank said.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks expanded by 10.9% year-on-year to 2.85 billion euro at the end of April, the central bank said in a monthly report on Friday.
Deposits increased by 11.8%, reaching 3.42 billion euro at the end of April.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets grew to 4.3 billion euro as at the end of April from 3.9 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) fell to 1.8%, from 2.0%. Return on equity also dropped - to 15.3% from 15.9%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 10 Kosovo banks. The largest by assets among them are Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank.
