November 10 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector rose to 107.7 million euro ($107.8 million) in the first nine months of 2022, from 90.1 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 4.2 billion euro at the end of September, up 18.4% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on Wednesday.
Deposits grew to 5.3 billion euro at the end of September, up 12.7% year-on-year.
The Kosovo banking system's total assets amounted to 6.5 billion euro at the end of September, higher than 5.8 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets stood at 2.5%, flat compared with a year earlier, whereas return on equity decreased to 19.8% from 20.6%.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
