November 30 (SeeNews) - The net profit of Kosovo's banking sector rose to 120.3 million euro ($124.7 million) in the first ten months of 2022, from 100.1 million euro in the same period of last year, the country's central bank said on Wednesday.
The outstanding loan portfolio of Kosovo's banks totalled 4.3 billion euro at the end of October, up 17.9% year-on-year, the central bank said in a monthly report on the banking sector's performance.
Deposits in the system totalled 5.3 billion euro at the end of October, up 14.2% year-on-year.
Total assets amounted to nearly 6.5 billion euro at the end of October, higher than 5.8 billion euro a year earlier.
Return on assets (ROA) rose to 2.5%, from 2.4% at the end of October 2021. Return on equity was 20.3%, flat compared with the previous year.
The figures comprise the financial results of 11 banks. Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and ProCredit Bank are the largest among them in terms of assets.
