January 22 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government has approved the allocation of 1 million euro ($1.2 million) in compensation for the damage inflicted to residential buildings in the municipalities affected by floods earlier this month, the prime minister's office said.
The repair of damage to public infrastructure will be financed from municipal budgets, while damage to agriculture will be compensated jointly by municipal budgets and the ministry of agriculture, the prime minister's office said in a statement on Thursday.
Snow and heavy rain brought floods to several regions of Kosovo in early January, causing material damage to businesses and homes.
