June 21 (SeeNews) - The governments of Kosovo and Albania signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for the development of the Lungomare LNG terminal in Albania's Vlora, Kosovo prime minister's office said.
The two governments also signed a co-financing agreement for the development of a feasibility study and project design of a railway line that will link Albania's Adriatic port of Durres to Pristina, Kosovo prime minister's office said in a press release on Monday following a joint meeting of the two governments.
In 2021, US-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) company Excelerate Energy said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with ExxonMobil LNG Market Development Inc and Albania for the potential development of a LNG import terminal in the port of Vlora.
Tirana and Pristina also agreed on Monday to enforce joint border control and signed agreements in several other areas, including education, agriculture, healthcare, tourism and justice.
