September 4 (SeeNews) - Croatian railway freight transportation firm HZ Cargo said on Monday that local company Koncar-Electric Vehicles (KEV) delivered the first of 17 locomotives Series 1141 upgraded under a deal signed in May 2022.
This cooperation will allow to reduce the costs of exploitation and maintenance of the locomotives and improve their reliability and availability, HZ Cargo said on its Linkedin profile.
KEV is developer, manufacturer and repairer of railway vehicles and electric vehicle equipment. It is part of the Koncar Group, which offers turnkey solutions for power plants, manufactures transformers, generators, motors, switchgear and other equipment for power generation, transmission and distribution, as well as tramcars, electric multiple units, railway plants and accompanying equipment and systems.
Koncar's shares [ZSE:KOEI] traded 2.78% higher at 185 euro ($199.6) intraday on Monday afternoon on the Zagreb bourse.
