November 9 (SeeNews) - Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday but paced the blue-chip decliners list, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 33,747 of Komercijalna's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 69.4 million dinars. The lender closed down 2.05% at 2,057 dinars.
Cookware company Metalac [BEL:MTLC] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 0.05% to 2,040 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went down 0.64% to 744.56 points on Friday. The index rose 0.30% on Thursday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.41% to 1,554.12 points on Friday, after declining 0.04% on Thursday.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse increased to 72.3 million dinars ($693,972/611,196 euro) on Friday from 29.2 million dinars on Thursday, as 144 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 476,614 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 509.7 million dinars to the total turnover of 582 million dinars on the stock exchange.
In the period between November 5 and 9, BELEX15 and BELEXline increased by 0.25% and by 0.86%, respectively.
The total value of trading in shares on the Belgrade stock market in the period between November 5 and 9 was 121.9 million dinars, versus 97.5 million dinars in the previous week.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 2.121 billion dinars to the total turnover, versus 841.3 million dinars last week.
