May 24 (SeeNews) - Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Thursday, as share indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 86,673 of the lender's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 163.6 million dinars. Komercijalna closed flat at 1,888 dinars.
Oil and gas group NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers' list after closing at 730 dinars, up 0.27%. The company generated a turnover of 8.9 million dinars, as 12,133 of its shares changed hands.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, fell 0.02% to 744.17 points on Thursday. The index rose 0.14% on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, declined 0.27% on Thursday and closed at 1,545.86 points, after falling by 0.05% on Wednesday.
Agricultural chemicals group Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] paced the blue-chip decliners on Thursday after losing 0.67% and closing at 2,801 dinars. A total of 894 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 2.5 million dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse fell to 12.6 million dinars ($125,017/106,540 euro) on Thursday from 16.6 million dinars on Wednesday, as 232 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 290,890 dinars.
