January 9 (SeeNews) - Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] generated the highest turnover among the blue chip companies on the Belgrade stock market on Monday and was also the biggest decliner among them, bucking a general upward trend, bourse data showed.
Trading in the bank's shares generated a turnover of 8.5 million dinars as their price declined by 0.59% to a closing value of 1,690 dinars. Komercijalna was also the second most traded blue chip with 5,001 shares changing hands.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, added 0.42% to 717.86 on Monday. On Friday, the BELEX15 edged up 0.01% to 714.88.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose by 0.29% and reached 1,571.22, after advancing 0.04% to 1,566.62 points in the previous session.
Trading in shares generated 55 million dinars ($468,694/444,681 euro) on Monday versus 11.1 million dinars on Friday.
Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers on Monday, after rising 2.01% to a close of 763 dinars. The company shares generated a trading turnover of 2.04 million dinars in Monday, the second highest among the blue chips.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 132.6 million dinars to the bourse total trading turnover of 187.6 million dinars on Monday.
