May 21 (SeeNews) - Dutch-based group KMG International Group said on Thursday it will open 15 filling stations through Rompetrol subsidiaries in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova in the following two months.
Eleven of the planned petrol stations will be located in Romania, three in Moldova and one in Bulgaria, KMG International said in a press release.
During the first four months of the year, the group said it has continued to develop its retail activities in the Black Sea region by opening 12 new fuel stations in Romania, Bulgaria and Georgia.
However, given the measures to limit domestic and international travel and the declared state of emergency, fuel sales through Rompetrol stations have been on an annual and monthly downward trend since mid-March, the company said.
In Romania, the group's the main market, Rompetrol Downstream recorded a 12% increase in fuel sales on the retail segment.
Retail fuel sales of the group's retail subsidiaries in Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Georgia rose by an annual 9%.
KMG International operates over 1,000 fuel stations in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and Georgia under the Rompetrol brand.
