November 29 (SeeNews) - Japanese retailer Miniso said on Thursday it has opened its fourth store in Romania's capital Bucharest.
Located in the city centre, the 125 sq m store, is the retailer's first outdoors stand-alone unit, the rest all being located in shopping centres, it said in a press release.
This is the last store launch for this year but starting 2019, the retailer will resume its expansion in Romania.
"We want to reach as many people as possible, and that's why we will open three more Miniso stores in the malls in Bucharest: AFI, Promenade and Sun Plaza," Miniso Romania CEO Jake Liu said.
Miniso plans to have 40 stores across Romania by 2020, it said in September when it entered the country's market.
Established in Japan in 2013, Miniso has opened over 2,600 stores worldwide in the last four years and posted annual sales of $1.8 billion (1.55 billion euro) in 2017. The retailer sells health and beauty products, gifts, digital accessories, accessories for home, daily life products and special packaging.
