December 20 (SeeNews) - Luxembourg-based company Joint Allocation Office (ЈАО) will assume the allocation of power transmission capacities between Serbia and Bulgaria as of 2019, Serbian energy regulator AERS said.
The JAO will hold the yearly, monthly and daily auctions of transmission rights between Serbia and Bulgaria via its Single Allocation Platform (SAP), in line with the harmonised allocation rules for long‐term transmission rights of the European Union, AERS said in a statement earlier this week.
JAO has already assumed the allocation of cross-border power transmission capacities between Serbia and Croatia in January 2018, EARS said.
The JAO is a joint service company of 22 transmission system operators from 19 countries. It mainly performs the yearly, monthly and daily auctions of transmission rights on 29 borders in Europe and acts as a fall-back for the European market coupling.
