BUCHAREST (Romania), October 14 (SeeNews) – New passenger car registrations in Romania increased 19.6% on the year to 67,997 for the first nine months of 2016, provisional data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, indicated on Friday.
In September alone, new car sales in the country surged 62.7% year-on-year to 9,361, ACEA said in a statement.

Romanian car maker Dacia's sales in the EU rose 11.2%, reaching 316,694 units for the first nine months of 2016. The rise in sales increased Dacia's market share to 2.8%, up from 2.7% during the same period of last year.
New passenger car registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, were up by 8% on the year to 11.2 million for the first nine months of 2016.
