November 9 (SeeNews) - The nine-month net loss of the Montenegrin unit of Austria's Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International widened to 12.9 million euro ($19.4 million) from 9.8 million euro a year earlier, data from Montenegro’s central bank showed on Monday.
Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International started operations in Montenegro in 2006.
At the end of September Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank Podgorica had assets of some 501 million euro, ranking it as Montenegro's third largest bank.
Eleven banks were active in Montenegro at the end of September. The biggest was Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (CKB), owned by Hungary's OTP Bank, with total assets of 920.6 million euro.
