December 19 (SeeNews) - Croatian hotel operator Jadran [ZSE:JDRN] topped the blue-chip gainers' list on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Jadran's shares closed 9.63% higher at 14.80 kuna.
Croatian hospitality company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] generated the highest trading turnover of 1.4 million kuna. The company closed down 4.36% at 35.10 kuna.
Shipbuilder Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price decreased by 4.8% to 5.95 kuna.
Croatia's Arena Hospitality Group [ZSE:ARNT] signed an agreement on Tuesday to move its shares to the Prime Market of the Zagreb Stock Exchange. The first day of trading for Arena Hospitality Group on the Prime Market will be December 20.
The bourse's total trading turnover dropped to 7.9 million kuna ($1.2 million/1.0 million euro) on Wednesday from 32.7 million kuna on Tuesday.
The bourse was boosted on Wednesday by a block trade in shares of telecommunications company Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], totalling 2 million kuna.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE dropped 0.37% to 1,740.96 points, after going up 0.16% on Tuesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dropped 0.86% to 1,016.53 points, after increasing 0.12% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index closed down 0.10% at 111.0867 points.
