May 13 (SeeNews) - Italy-based international banking group UniCredit said it will appoint Teodora Petkova as head of its Eastern European division, comprising the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Serbia.
The appointment is part of a change in the group's leadership team aiming to simplify the structure of UniCredit's organisation, enable greater ownership across all businesses, further integrate technology and clarify respective roles and responsibilities, the group said in a statement on Wednesday, quoting its CEO Andrea Orcel.
UniCredit is replacing its executive management committee with a newly created group executive committee and is moving to a system of country and regional CEOs, who will be empowered to manage their geographic area in an integrated fashion across all businesses and areas, the statement added.
