November 24 (SeeNews) - Serbia's economy ministry said on Friday that Italian heating systems manufacturer Zoppas Industries has invested 2.4 million euro ($2.8 million) in the construction of a factory in Kikinda, in northern Serbia.
The Italian company has created 400 jobs in the factory in Kikinda, which was officially launched on Friday in the presence of economy minister Goran Knezevic, the ministry said in a statement.
Around 600 Italian companies currently employ some 20,000 in Serbia, Knezevic said during the opening ceremony.
Zoppas is active in the design and production of heating elements and systems. In Southeastern Europe (SEE), Zoppas also operates a factory in Sannicolau Mare, in western Romania.
