July 20 (SeeNews) - The IT sector was the main driver of demand for office space in the Bulgarian capital Sofia in the first half of the year, with 55% share of all transactions, real estate consultants Colliers International said.
Commerce and professional services sectors followed with 19% and 8% of transactions, respectively, Colliers said in an office market overview.
Pre-leasing of office space in the construction stage of the projects was the type of transaction with a largest share of 35% on the Sofia market.
Transactions for a total of 65,800 sq m have been closed in the first six months of 2018 in the Bulgarian capital.
The total supply of office space on the Sofia market, which includes A-, B- and C-class offices, rose by 2% to 2 million sq m in the first six months of the year.
