January 17 (SeeNews) - Iran Air has delayed the launch of flights from Tehran Imam Khomeini airport to Serbia's capital Belgrade by two weeks, to January 27, according to flight schedule data posted on the website of Belgrade airport.
The flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the data shows.
According to a flight schedule posted on the website of Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] earlier this month, Iran Air planned to launch Belgrade-Tehran flights on January 13.
Iran's Qeshm Air will also start flights connecting the capitals of Iran and Serbia - on February 1, Belgrade airport flight schedule data shows.
In August, the Serbian government abolished visas for Iranian citizens in a bid to facilitate the arrival of tourists and potential investors from the Asian country.
