December 27 (SeeNews) - A group of international investors led by an investment fund from Dubai plans to invest some 500 million marka ($303.7 million/255.6 million euro) in the development of a multifunctional construction project in Sarajevo, Bosnian media reported on Wednesday.
The project, planned to be built on the site of the current indoor sports arena Skenderija, will feature a new sports arena, a concert hall, a hotel, a residential area, restaurants, clubs and an entertainment corner, news portal Klix reported.
The Sarajevo Canton has already signed a memorandum of understanding with the interested investors, Klix said, adding that the idea is to establish a public-private partnership, which should result in one of the largest investments in post-war Bosnia.
According to the news portal, the Dubai investor is the purchaser of luxury Montenegrin marina Porto Montenegro - the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD).
