SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 21 (SeeNews) – British real estate investment fund Revetas Capital intends to invest an undisclosed sum in a new office building and a retail building at Sofia Airport Centre (SAC) business park, Olga Stoichkova, commercial director of SAC, told SeeNews.
The company is now waiting to obtain building permits for the two projects, Stoichkova told SeeNews in a recent interview.
Construction works are expected to be completed within approximately two years after the permits are granted.
The new office building, A3, will have a total floor area of 33,000 sq m and will offer 18,600 sq m of prime office space. The building will offer a total of 413 parking places, 324 out of which will be underground.
The A3 building will be located right next to the existing A2 building, which offers 17,500 sq m of Class A office space on five floors, Stoichkova said.
The retail building, which will be named Plaza, will cover 5,500 sq m and will offer a range of amenities, including a gym, spa centre, indoor swimming pool, restaurants and coffee shops. The building will also have several conference halls.
The Plaza building will offer an additional 96 parking spots.
The two buildings will adhere to the highest environmentally responsible and resource-efficient standards and will be certified under a US green building programme, Stoichkova said.
SAC consists of four buildings with a total area of 45,000 sq m of prime office, retail and warehouse space, currently fully ocupied.
Real estate management company Ceres Management Services, set up in 2014 by Revetas Capital, is managing the business park.

Ceres performs property, project and construction management services for a portfolio of commercial properties in seven countries in CEE, totalling more than 370,000 square meters.
In Bulgaria, the company also manages Park Center Sofia shopping mall and Markan Headquarters.
