January 31 (SeeNews) - The main indices on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) closed lower on Thursday, as tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] paced the decliners, bourse data showed.
Valamar Riviera ended 1.73% lower at 34.00 kuna. The tourism company generated the highest turnover among the blue-chip companies, of 5.1 million kuna, following a block transaction.
ZSE's total trading turnover jumped to 19.7 million kuna ($3.04 million/2.6 million euro) on Thursday from 2.3 million kuna on Wednesday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index edged down by 0.02% to 1,761.79 after rising 0.24% on Wednesday.
Bucking the negative trend, civil engineering company Ingra [ZSE:INGR] led the blue-chip gainers, closing 4.59% higher at 3.87 kuna.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, fell by 0.31% to 1,020.87 after increasing 0.25% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS edged down by 0.01% to 110.8251 points.
