June 6 (SeeNews) - ING Bank Romania said on Thursday it has named Mihaela Bitu as its new CEO starting July 3.
Bitu took over from Michael Szczurek, ING Bank said in a press release.
Mihaela Bitu joined ING Romania shortly afterwards the establishment of the company 25 years ago. Her most recent position within the bank was head of wholesale banking and deputy general manager.
Since May 2018, Mihaela Bitu has been a member of the board of directors of the Association of Romanian Banks.
ING Bank Romania is part of the ING Group, a global financial institution providing services banking to more than 34 million individual customers, companies or institutions in over 40 countries.
ING Bank Romania ranks sixth among local banks, with a market share of just over 10% and 1.32 million clients.
