August 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices closed lower on Thursday, as industrials led decliners among Sofia-listed companies.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which has 15 members, dropped 0.84% to 574.70 points. Industrial group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] and hydraulic equipment maker M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] led decliners among SOFIX members, losing 3.03% and 2.07%, respectively.
The two companies were also the biggest losers among members of the equally-weighted BGTR30 index.
The BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, erased 0.39% to 506.63 points on Thursday.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, decreased 0.62% to 113.63 points. The index was hit by Industrial Capital Holding [BUL:4I8], which fell most among BSE-listed companies - by 3.33%.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, closed the session unchanged at 127.22 points, just 0.05 points shy of its all-time high.
Total regulated market trading turnover rose to 503,000 levs ($285,000/257,000 euro) on Thursday from 217,000 levs on Wednesday.
