January 11 (SeeNews) - Diversified conglomerate Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] was the top blue-chip gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria shares closed 6.18% higher at 1.100 levs as 11,715 shares changed hands.
The blue-chip SOFIX index gained 0.32% to 610.99 points, extending its winning streak. On Tuesday it reaching over 600 points for the first time since May 2014.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, rose by 0.20% to 115.53 points, after it increased by 2.43% on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, rose 0.23% to 107.32 points. On Tuesday, the BG-REIT index fell 0.04%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up by 0.05% to 466.13 points, after adding 1.35% on Tuesday.
Total stock trading turnover fell to 1.3 million levs ($700,000/665,000 euro), from 1.64 million levs on Tuesday.
Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue chip company on Wednesday as 186,607 shares in the industrial group changed hands at an average price of 1.718 levs.
Bulgaria's Fibank [BUL:5F4] led blue-chip decliners. Its share price fell 3.41% to 3.766 levs, as 4,822 shares were traded.
