April 24 (SeeNews) - India's largest passenger airline IndiGo said it started last week providing connections from its flights to Bulgaria's capital Sofia and the coastal city of Varna via a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines.
The codeshare will provide for 20 weekly connections to the two Bulgarian cities in the upcoming summer season, IndiGo said in a press release on Friday.
Starting from April 17, there are daily connections to Sofia via Istanbul, whereas the flights to Varna via Istanbul will be three times a week.
InterGlobe Aviation, trading as IndiGo, operates as a low-cost carrier and had a share of 56% on the domestic market as of end-February. With a fleet of some 300 aircraft, it has 26 international routes and connects to 32 destinations in Europe, with connecting flights to 16 countries in Europe through Turkish Airlines.
