July 29 (SeeNews) - Indian digital services and consulting company Infosys has launched a cyber defence centre in Romania's capital Bucharest, it said on Monday.
The facility expands the services delivered through the Infosys Digital Innovation Centre which opened in Bucharest earlier this year and will provide end-to-end, real-time, 24/7 cyber security monitoring and protection services to support European and global businesses on their digital transformation journey, Infosys said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The services, including security monitoring, management and remediation, threat hunting, security analytics, incident discovery and response, will be delivered by certified and highly skilled cyber security professionals.
"During the launch of our Digital Innovation Center in Bucharest we committed to opening a Cyber Defence Center to address the security aspects of our clients’ digital transformation. This Cyber Defence Center is the latest addition to our global network of Security Operation Centers across the world and enhances our ability to provide end-to-end cyber security solutions to our clients," the president of Infosys, Ravi Kumar, said in the statement.
Kumar also said that Romania is an established leader in the European cyber security talent market and is a natural choice for Infosys to invest in and develop its cyber security research and innovation potential.
Infosys has operations across 15 European countries, employing more than 12,000 people. The company works with both European and global clients in a range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, business process management, utilities, manufacturing and retail.
