November 10 (SeeNews) - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will visit Slovenia during November 10 - 21 to review the latest economic developments, the functioning of the financial sector and the banking system, and the challenges for the future, the country's central bank said on Thursday.
The mission, led by Donal McGettigan, will also discuss the mitigation of the risks inherent in fiscal and macroprudential policy, energy security, climate change, digitalisation, and the labour market during the visit, the central bank said in a statement.
Following the regular consultations with the IMF under Article IV of the IMF’s Articles of Agreement, a report will be drawn up for Slovenia over the following months giving the IMF's views and recommendations regarding sound financial, fiscal and structural policies for the country.
IMF said last month it expects Slovenia's gross domestic product to increase by 6.3% in 2021, revising upwards its April forecast for 3.7% growth.
