PODGORICA (Montenegro), October 4 (SeeNews) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Tuesday it expects Montenegro’s economy to expand by a real 5.1% in 2016, up from its April forecast of 4.7% growth.
The IMF expects the country’s economy to grow by 3.6% in 2017, an increase compared to the previous projection of 2.5% growth, according to data from the autumn edition of the IMF's World Economic Outlook report.
The IMF estimated Montenegro’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth at 3.2% for 2015.
Montenegro’s average annual inflation is seen at 0.5% and 1.3% in 2016 and 2017, respectively, following a 1.6% jump in 2015, the IMF said.
