June 26 (SeeNews) - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission arrived in Moldova on Wednesday for an update on the country's macroeconomic situation, the IMF said.
The mission led by Ruben Atoyan will stay in Moldova until July 10, the IMF said in a press release.
During the visit, the mission will hold talks with the authorities on Moldova's economic performance supported by the IMF's Extended Credit Facility (ECF) and Extended Financing Mechanism (EFF) arrangements for the country.
The mission will also analyze recent developments in the economy and progress achieved in the implementation of the reform programme, update the macroeconomic forecast, and discuss future macroeconomic policies with the Moldovan authorities.
So far, Moldova has received a total of $113.3 million in four tranches from the IMF under the current three-year credit facility of $178.7 million approved in November 2016.
