May 12 (SeeNews) - Swedish furniture retailer IKEA said it will open on June 8 a store in Romania’s western city of Timisoara, its third in the country, following an investment of over 60 million euro ($65.4 million).
The 26,000 sq m store is the company’s first location in western Romania and will be its most sustainable venue in Southeast Europe (SEE) both in terms of construction standards and business operations, IKEA said in a press release on Thursday.
The new store will offer some 8,300 home design products.
IKEA opened its first Romanian store in Bucharest in March 2007. The second store opened in Bucharest in June 2019, following a 90 million euro investment, IKEA said at the time.
