May 9 (SeeNews) - IKEA Bulgaria, part of Swedish furniture retailer IKEA, said on Tuesday that it expanded and modernised its order centre in Bulgaria's coastal city of Burgas.
The centre, which is located in Mall Galleria, now has an additional 140 sq m of retail space, a new kitchen design studio with a sample room, four more planning areas and a larger section for wardrobes, the company said in a press release.
The expansion of the Burgas order centre is part of IKEA's development strategy, with the company set to open a new location in the northern city of Veliko Tarnovo later this year. The company also expanded its Plovdiv order centre in 2021.
IKEA entered the Bulgarian market in 2011 through House Market Bulgaria, part of Greece-based durable goods provider Fourlis Group, which operates IKEA stores and order and pick-up points in Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria. The Greek group reported a 16% annual rise in sales under the IKEA brand to 317.6 million euro ($349.8 million) in 2022.
