March 28 (SeeNews) - Non-banking financial services provider iCredit, part of Bulgarian-headquartered Management Financial Group (MFG), said on Tuesday it plans to open 15 new regional offices in Romania and create 500 jobs in the country this year.
The expansion will increase the number of employees in Romania to a total of 1,500 working in 90 regional offices across the country by the end of 2017, making the company one of the largest employers in the financial sector, iCredit said in a statement.
"Our 2017 plans to grow our business by opening over 500 new jobs and expanding our network is aligned with iCredit development strategy for Romania and will have a meaningful impact across the country by providing access to better financial products and services to the customers," iCredit Romania CEO Goran Arsov said.
iCredit Romania currently maintains a portfolio worth more than 18 million euro ($19.5 million), Arsov added.
iCredit will also set up "iAcademy", a training center to lead the process of finding and acquiring skilled and talented personnel and preparing them for onboarding on management positions in iCredit's international network of offices.
"We have around 500 job openings in the sales division, 60 in our contact center and 20 administrative positions opened for candidates," iCredit Romania head of human resources, Cristina Mocanu, said.
MFG provides non-banking financial services in Central and Eastern Europe, with over 1.5 million loans granted, according to the statement. The group operates more than 270 offices in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Macedonia and has over 6,000 employees.
