November 23 (SeeNews) - U.S.-based technology giant IBM announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Cerasela Venera Baiculescu as the new country leader for its operations in Romania and Moldova.
Baiculescu is replacing Marta Branska-Rybicka, who has been appointed to another position within the company, IBM said in a press release.
"By leveraging IBM’s AI and hybrid cloud solutions, consulting expertise and our ecosystem partners we can further accelerate our client's digital transformation journeys and help shape the countries' economies," said Cerasela Venera Baiculescu.
IBM Romania's net profit reached 81.5 million lei ($17 million/16.5 million euro) in 2021. At the end of last year, the company's local subsidiary employed more than 3,100, data from the finance ministry's website showed.
