October 15 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian unit of Austria's Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing Holding said on Wednesday it has invested 10 million euro ($13.6 million) in equipment leasing contracts since it started operations in February 2007.
Equipment leasing contracts now account for 31% of the Macedonian unit's portfolio, Gjorgje Vojnovic, a member of the Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing’s Executive Board, told a news conference.
Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing, which says it holds a 52% share of the Macedonian market, also offers leasing contracts for motor vehicles and yachts.
The Macedonian unit of the company has recently launched the construction of a 17 million euro business centre in the capital Skopje which will be leased out.
Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing set up its Macedonian unit in 2006. So far, the company has invested over 40 million euro in the country.
Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing Holding, a subsidiary of Austria's Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank International, has units in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Montenegro and Bulgaria.
