June 29 (SeeNews) - Hungarian energy drink producer Hell Energy said on Wednesday it plans to invest 18 million euro ($19 million) to build a storage hall and office area in central Romania.
The investment is part of the company's strategy to consolidate its leading position on the local energy drinks market, but also to streamline the supply of its energy drinks and ready-brewed cold coffee, Hell Energy said in a press release.
The company plans to build a 10,000 sq m storage hall and a 3,800 office area by the end of 2022 in Ungheni, Targu Mures county. The hall will have a storage capacity of around 12,500 pallets.
Following the investment, some 20 new jobs will be created.
"Despite the changing market context of the last two years and repeated increases in costs, we can say that we have had a good course in our business, mainly due to a pyramidal construction with a very solid base of partners-distributors, to which we added increased attention to market dynamics and consumer requirements," Hell Energy Romania national director Micsunica Pelaghie said.
"Thus, after two rather atypical years, we started an important local investment, in close collaboration with authorities."
Hell Energy booked some 48.8 million euro ($51.7 million) in sales in Romania in 2021.
Hell Energy was founded in Hungary in 2004 and launched the Hell Energy Drink in 2006.
