April 3 (SeeNews) - The Romanian branch of Chinese telecoms company Huawei Technology said on Monday it has invested 10 million euro ($10.7 million) in a new Enterprise Global Service Center (EGSC) in Bucharest.
The center has an area of 2,000 sq m and will help consolidate Huawei's global service platform, the company said in a press release. Huawei has similar centers in China and Mexico.
Huawei's EGSC will be divided into four work departments: technical support, remote deployment, network operations and support for partners and marketing.
"This extended services capability combined with a line of flagship products and with a very close collaboration with leading logistics partners enables Huawei Enterprise to provide parts replacement and remote deployment to the highest standards, 24/7, in over 170 countries," Enterprise Huawei Romania manager Vlad Doicaru said.
Huawei entered Romania in 2003 and starting 2012, it operates a global services center in Bucharest which employs 1,100, providing multi-network support for international telecom operators.
Huawei Technologies is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered in Shenzhen.
