December 12 (SeeNews) - Croatian telecommunications operator Hrvatski Telekom's [ZSE:HT-R-A] president and CEO, Davor Tomaskovic, has resigned, the company said.
The supervisory board of Hrvatski Telekom approved the resignation of Tomaskovic who will leave the company on April 1, and will be replaced by Konstantinos Nempis, Hrvatski Telekom said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
Nempis is coming from OTE Group, the largest Greek telecommunications operator, where he was chief commercial officer. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Hrvatski Telekom said.
"During the previous five years, HT became one of the largest investors in Croatia, as well as one of the most significant employers, contributing through its operations to the overall development of the country. Following this five-year cycle, which was necessary for the company to transform, HT is prepared for the upcoming period and ready to overcome all challenges which lie ahead," Tomaskovic said in the statement.
The supervisory board of Hrvatski Telekom appointed Natasa Rapaic as management board member for residential customers for another term of office, commencing on February 1, the company said.
Hrvatski Telekom is 51%-owned by Deutsche Telekom.
