September 22 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] said on Wednesday it holds 206,597 of its own shares, representing 0.258093% of the company's issued equity capital, after repurchasing a total of 2,900 shares on September 20 and 21.
On Monday, Hrvatski Telekom bought back 1,200 shares at a weighted average price of 190.2488 kuna ($29.8/25.4 euro) apiece, it said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
On Tuesday it bought back 1,700 shares at a weighted average price of 190.2859 kuna apiece.
Hrvatski Telekom said in April it plans to buy back up to 3 million of its own shares by 2026 under a programme that aims to withdraw shares that have no nominal value without reducing the share capital.
The telco also said it will offer some of the repurchased shares to its employees.
Since the beginning of the year HT has withdrawn 718,720 own shares without reducing its share capital. Thus, it has cut the overall number of outstanding shares from 80,766,229 to 80,047,509.
HT's shares traded at 190.50 kuna intraday on Wednesday on the Zagreb bourse, up 0.26% compared to their closing price on Tuesday.
