March 7 (SeeNews) - Human resources services outsourcing company Smartree Romania said on Tuesday it expects 30% higher turnover in 2017 on the back of diversifying services and growing demand.
This year, Smartree expects to reach a turnover of 17 million euro ($18 million), it said in a press release.
"This will be determined both by diversifying services, and by educating the market in the human resource management systems area. In addition, for 2017 we expect an increase in demand on the recruitment market," Smartree CEO Adrian Stanciu said.
The CEO also pointed out that the temporary employment segment will have a positive impact on business this year, as both companies and employees have begun to take advantage of the increasing flexibility offered by this work system.
In 2016, Smartree posted a turnover of 13 million euro, up 35% on the year, mostly due to the increase of its client portfolio by 10%. The company's staff leasing revenues were up 40% in 2016, while the ones from payroll outsourcing grew by 20%.
In 2016, the staff leasing department generated 80% of the business, while the rest came from payroll outsourcing, the company said.
Smartree’s activity began in 2000 with the launch of the first online recruitment service in Romania www.resurseumane.ro, which it sold in 2004 to online jobs portal BestJobs, and with the first Payroll BPO Service.
In 2010, the company was bought by the Polish investment fund, Enterprise Investors.
Currently, Smartree has over 150 clients, mostly multinational companies, and provides services to 550,000 employees annually. It offers a full range of services in payroll, staff administration, analysis and reporting for management, recruitment, temporary work services and consultancy.
