August 17 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) edged higher on Wednesday on gains in hotel operators Valamar Riviera and Arena Hospitality, bourse data showed.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, added 0.08% to end at 2,012.46 points, its sevents straight gain. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, edged up 0.03% to finish at 1,199.11 points, rising for a fourth session in a row.
Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] was the most traded company on Wednesday with a turnover of 1.8 million kuna ($244,000/240,000 euro). Its shares advanced 0.30% to finish at 33.40 kuna.
Only two other companies - hotel owner Plava Laguna [ZSE:PLAG] and food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR] - passed the one million kuna turnover mark, as their shares ended unchanged at 1,800 kuna and 594 kuna respectively.
Shares of Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] went up 2.42% to end at 254 kuna in a turnover of 440,000 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover declined to 7.5 million kuna from 9.8 million kuna on Tuesday.
