SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 25 (SeeNews) – Diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] was the top blue-chip decliner on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
Holding Varna shares closed 2.65% lower at 33.1 levs ($19.8/16.9 euro) in a trading volume of 25 units.
Total trading turnover on the BSE fell to 262,400 levs on Tuesday from 575,000 levs on Monday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index fell 0.20% to 711.42 points, after adding 0.13% on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, decreased 0.53% to 133.67 points, after rising 0.15% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, edged down 0.05% to 114.24 points on Tuesday. On Monday, the index increased 0.11%.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.51% to 540.99 points, after adding 0.16% on Monday.
Car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] rose the most among blue chips on Tuesday, closing 1.73% higher at 11.496 levs in a trading volume of 10 shares.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue-chip company on Tuesday, as 3,997 of its shares changed hands at an average price of 4.875 levs.
