January 18 (SeeNews) - Diversified conglomerate Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] was the top blue-chip decliner on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Holding Varna closed 4.75% lower at 30.015 levs as 25 shares changed hands.
Total stock trading turnover shrank to 489,900 levs ($265,800/248,600 euro) on Wednesday, from 704,600 levs on Tuesday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index edged down 0.01% to 606.42 points, after falling by 0.15% on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, declined 0.57% to 115.88 points, after adding 0.61% on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, rose 0.23% to 107.81 points, after closing 0.15% lower on Tuesday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.31% to 466.80 points, after increasing by 0.28% on Tuesday.
Fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:3NB] led the blue-chip gainers on Wednesday, rising 1.46% to 61.000 levs as 273 of the company’s shares were sold.
Real estate investment trust (REIT) Advance Terrafund [BUL:6A6] was the most traded blue-chip company for a third trading session in a row, as 41,586 of the company’s shares traded at an average price of 2.104 levs.
