BUCHAREST (Romania), October 25 (SeeNews) – Multinational power generators and lighting towers manufacturer Himoinsa on Tuesday opened a logistics centre in Romania following a 500,000 euro ($587,878) investment.
The 1,500 sq m logistics centre is located near capital Bucharest, in Chiajna, and will serve the domestic market, as well as the markets of Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Moldova, Serbia and Slovakia, the company said in a press release.
The storage space in the centre is allocated to the storage of industrial generators and will be managed by All Generating, Himoinsa distributor in Romania.
By opening this centre, Himoinsa and All Generating will reduce delivery times to customers in the region and will cut logistics costs by up to 5%. Also, the new facility will provide a buffer stock of generators from the usual range and will offer customers faster service and a distribution point for spare parts.
"We intend to expand our service activity at the national level and the new logistics centre gives us exactly the support we need. If market development is positive, we are considering to increase stock value from 500,000 euro by the end of this year to 1 million euro in 2018," All Generating commercial director Catalin Stanciulescu said.
Currently, the market for electricity generators in Romania is estimated at 20 million euro, with this type of equipment being used predominantly in healthcare services, public administration, construction, retail, mining, communications, tourism, agriculture and IT&C, Himoinsa said.
Himoinsa is present on the Romanian market since 2010. Among its major projects in Romania is the delivery and supply of generators to national gas transmission company Transgaz [BSE: TGN].
In 2004, Himoinsa opened a branch in Poland, whish is directly serving the markets of Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus and Ukraine.
Founded in 1982 in Murcia, Southeast Spain, Himoinsa is a multinational company focused on manufacturing and distribution of power generation systems.
