April 18 (SeeNews) - The Serbian unit of Germany's Henkel opened on Wednesday a 20 million euro ($24.8 million) production plant in Serbia's Krusevac, the Serbian government said.
The factory, which will produce detergents and cleaning agents under Henkel's Somat brand, will employ 50 people, the government said in a statement.
Henkel entered Serbia's market 16 years ago and has since invested 120 million euro in the Balkan country.
The company already operates a powder and liquid detergents factory in Krusevac and an adhesives factory in Indjija. The headquarters of the Serbian unit of Henkel is located in Belgrade.
