April 2 (SeeNews) - The Serbian unit of Germany's Henkel has closed its factory in Krusevac for two weeks due to the nationwide state of emergency in Serbia caused by the coronavirus outbreak, it said.
"The company has made this decision to protect the health and safety of its employees, as an absolute priority of the business," Henkel Serbia said in a statement on Wednesday.
Manufacturing facilities ceased operations on April 1, while logistics will continue to operate at a reduced capacity to provide citizens with the necessary products, Henkel Serbia said.
The company also operates an adhesives factory in Indjija, northern Serbia. The headquarters of the Serbian unit of Henkel is located in Belgrade.
