BELGRADE (Serbia), October 18 (SeeNews) – Greece's Hellenic Petroleum is interested in making further investments in Serbia as part of its business diversification strategy, the company's managing director Grigoris Stergioulis said as quoted by the Serbian energy ministry.
Hellenic Petroleum plans to diversify its business and Serbia offers significant investment opportunities, Stergioulis said during a meeting with Serbian energy minister Aleksandar Antic, as quoted in a statement by the energy ministry on Tuesday.
The countries in Southeastern Europe (SEE) should reinforce their cooperation and launch a common policy to ensure a stable supply of energy, Stergioulis and Antic said in the statement.
Hellenic Petroleum set up its Serbian subsidiary, Eko Serbia, in 2002. The company operates in the trade of oil products and has 47 filling stations under the EKO brand throughout Serbia.
