March 24 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's real average net monthly wage increased by 1.6% year-on-year in January, after growing by 3.5% in the previous month, data from the country's statistical office showed on Friday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in Macedonia added 2.2% on the year in January, reaching 22,750 denars ($399.2/369.4 euro).
The strongest wage growth was registered in the information and telecommunications sector (9.4%), followed by public administration (4.6%) and mining and quarrying (4.2%).
On a monthly comparison basis, net wages dropped by 3.6% in January.
