February 21 (SeeNews) - The aggregate value of Macedonian banks' outstanding loans to the private sector rose 0.6% year-on-year to 277 billion denars ($4.7 billion/4.5 billion euro) in January, after an annual increase of 1% in December, official figures show.
The value of bank deposits added 6.7% on the year to 319.8 billion denars at end-January, following a 5.7% increase a month earlier, according to data published on the website of the central bank, NBRM.
The total assets of Macedonian banks expanded by 4.3% on the year, reaching 538.3 billion denars at the end of January, after increasing 3.7% in December.
